What I Did This Week To Save Money
-We gave the boys haircuts at home and I gave my husband a haircut too. We’ve been doing haircuts at home for about seven years. This saves us over $60 every time we do this. Cutting the boys’ hair at home started out as a time saving and anti-stress effort with the advantage of also saving us money. We bought clippers for around $20 and we can cut their hair when it’s convenient for us. We don’t have to make an appointment and drive to get to it and we don’t have to tip. I’m the only one that pays to get my hair cut. I tried to get my husband to trim it for me once and he wouldn’t. I saw a Pinterest post about cutting your own hair and gave it a shot. I made a mess of my hair and had to make an emergency hair appointment. Sometimes Pinterest is too good to be true!
-A friend came over and we had our monthly freezer cooking date at my house. This saves time and money because I always have several meals in the freezer. If we are in a hurry I can pull one out and quick thaw it instead of grabbing expensive convenience food. I love the time it saves me in the kitchen too. All I have to do is thaw and heat because all the prep work has been done and there are fewer dishes to wash after the meal.
